Prathima endeavours to support individuals in their pursuit of health and well-being in a collaborative manner. She offers psychological interventions/therapy for persons with minor and major psychological problems. She specialises in the management of a wide range of disorders including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, and adjustment issues. Prathima utilises strength-based approaches, cognitive behavioural strategies, interpersonal therapy, solutions focused strategies, hypnosis, and dynamic approaches to suit the individuals needs and symptom management.
Prathima has worked across clinical systems in India and Australia over the last two decades. She has worked with hospitals, conducted Research at St John’s Research Institute and was Head of Operations PPC Worldwide India (EAP Provider) in India. In Australia she has worked with PPC Worldwide and has been working in private practice for over 12 years. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Prathima has completed her Bachelors and Masters in Psychology (Bangalore University). She also completed her two years Masters of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from The National Institute Of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS, Bangalore). She has completed her Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis at South Australian Society of Hypnosis (Adelaide). Prathima holds professional memberships with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) Clinical College and Member of South Australian Society of Hypnosis.
Prathima’s private clients are eligible for Medicare and Private Health rebates.
